What's been happening at Bodyfuddau since the last pictures? Here is  2004

Brith and I have a chat.

This is the remains of a large tree which blew down in a storm and my neighbour bequeathed to me. Since the trunk is too wide for my little electric chain saw friends, Oli and Julian, come from time to time and saw off slices. I had threatened to hire a big saw and they put their collective foot down.

Wispy is now aged 15 and, although last year when this was taken she had fur problems and looked very tatty, she has suddenly decided to grow more fur than she ever had and now looks somewhat like a teddybear. She has also gone selectively deaf and, as a priviledge to be accorded to her old age, hears only what she wants to hear and understands only what she wants to understand. This picture was taken by Linda, mother of Chriustopher, who was over here studying Welsh last year.

Llinos supervises as he mother shears Badger, the notorious sheep with attitude. He belongs to Llinos but lives with me. For details of Badger see 2003 pictures.

This is Brith. He is a Welsh sheepdog, an ancient breed which was thought to have died out until a few years ago. If they were all as interested in sheep as Brith, the breed would have been allowed to depart, but he is an exception. He does not even acknowledge the existence of the woolly beasts. From my point of view this is an advantage as I got him to keep Jess company and she thinks sheep are the best thing since sliced bread. She really fancies them but is allowed only to look.

Brith a Table. One day shortly after brith's arrival at Bodyfuddau I had friends to dinner. At one point I left the room to fix something for the children, who were dining in the sitting room [space problems] and was called from the dining room,  'Come and look at your dog.' Brith had evidently decided that he should take my place and entertain the guests

Continuation. He seems tyo be holding conversation with Oli. I did not have a camera to hand but Tanya, a young lady from Russia, fortunately had one just behind her so the opportunity was not missed. He has never done it again.

Left to right -- Luki, Badger and Felix beside their newly roofed pigsty for dining not al fresco.
